SEM (Search Engine Marketing) is marketing on search engines through paid ads (PPC), and sometimes used broadly to include SEO.

SEM (Search Engine Marketing) most often refers to paid search advertising — bidding to appear on results pages via PPC. Some marketers use SEM as an umbrella covering both paid search and SEO. In Bangladesh, low CPCs make SEM an efficient way to capture high-intent demand.
